When thinking about starting your own business, there aren't any limits, you can practically do whatever you want, especially if you're good at leveraging social. In this video, I'll share why I chose Contineofy and how you can get into SaaS yourself.

Find The Perfect Balance

I never got the whole, find something you're passionate about and figure out how to make it profitable.

For starters, if you're not passionate about something already, finding a passion could be an endeavor all on its own.

And the sad part about passion is the moment you try to make it profitable, is the same time it's probably not a passion anymore because the reality is, that running a business isn't sexy, are some people passionate about what they do, yeah, but I don't see too many of them in the world.

Some people try to make entrepreneurship glamorous but I feel there are going to be more days where you ask yourself, "Why am I doing this again or is this even worth it anymore," versus coming into the office all fired up to change the world.

Stop Chasing Passion... Instead

Look out in the world and find a problem that you can develop a skill around which allows you to reach out to people and say I know how to solve this and charge them for it.

It sounds simple, but most people don't go down this path.

They instead say to themselves, "What do I enjoy doing?" and then try to convince people to care about what they care about and then ask them for money for it, there's a reason there is the phrase "Starving Artist."

The best part about this new way of finding something to build a business around is that once you're able to scale the business, you can then set up a nonprofit and donate your business's profits towards it, and let that nonprofit be your "passion project."

This way you don't have to stress out about making enough money to pay the bills, instead, you can do whatever you want because regardless if someone likes what you like, you're already paying your bills.

My advice, leave passion and hobbies outside of your next endeavor, focus on a problem a lot of people have, develop the skill to solve it, sell it, and then think about your passion and hobbies, you'll enjoy them more.

I've been in some aspect of marketing for 15+ years now and I've always wanted to own a marketing agency.
