Stop Following Vanity Metrics
Marketing and sales have gotten a bad rap in the last decade. Social media came into the world and all of a sudden people got caught up in being instafamous and thought more equals more money.
Retroactively, everyone went out to get the most social media followers, website traffic, and contact lists in their database.
What they found though, is more isn't always more and that you could have the biggest following on the internet. Still, if only a handful of them are actually buying from you, you're in the wrong business and should switch to show business because you're purely entertaining your followers not running a business.
