The Four Types Of Communications
There are three types of communications you'll have that you'll want to digitize and automate as you scale your SaaS organization and while you could manage most of these conversations with a single platform, what you'll see is they are usually broken out.
These four communications include:
- Marketing Communications: these communications can include sending out content, inviting to webinars or conferences, sending special promotions, development updates; email marketing is still the best way to connect with Prospects
- Development Communications: as a lead precedes down the buyer's journey, you'll development team will reach out to qualify before passing to sales; communications usually entail phone calls and email sequences
- Sales Communications: once a lead has been passed to sales, scheduling next steps, demos, trial details, or sales proposals is done via phone calls and email conversations
- Support Communications: once a contact becomes a customer, the conversations don't stop, and your service team will continue to engage via phone and email
Patterns In Communications
As you can see from the communication types above, there is a pattern between phone calls and emails. Having systems in play that manage these conversations and push back the details about the interactions to your CRM is a must to keep your communications organized and give you an idea of what the next conversations should be about.
