Simplicity Leads To Fast Growth
How often have you worked for or owned an organization that managed from a reactive stance or treated every project like reinventing the wheel?
This mindset or framework not only causes stress for you and your managers but makes it hard to retain a team, leads to burnout, and quiet quitting.
Building out a business process manual for all the different processes in your organization will make it easier to onboard new team members and customers as well as transition into hypergrowth effectively.
Mimic What The Greats Do
When thinking through marketing and sales processes, I tend to focus on project management guidelines. Working for a couple of years at IBM, I was introduced to and managed sprints using the Agile Framework. Pair that with reflecting on how the greats in the market manage, you can break down each of the processes in your engine and delegate them to the right people on your team.
Mimicing the greats, comes down to looking out into the world and looking at systems that operate on scale. The first companies that come to mind are Starbucks, Amazon, grocery stores, banks, car manufacturers, and many others that manage millions of interactions a day. If not for clear and proven processes, these companies would cease to exist or at a minimum not have been able to scale to the level they are today.
When working through this stage, think from the same frameworks, and break down all the steps a typical prospect must take to becoming a customer and then all the engagements your customer's success team will follow to onboard them onto your platform and get quick wins.
